JOB TITLE: Wire Harness Technician - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Owego, NY
PAY RATE: $26/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Build, assemble, and troubleshoot cable and wire harnesses.

  • Construct, calibrate, adjust, test, and diagnose electronic and electromechanical components and systems.

  • Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.

  • Operate test and measurement equipment and document test data in prescribed formats.

  • Perform calibration and alignment checks and make adjustments or modifications as directed.

  • Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions as required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Hands-on experience building cable and wire harnesses.

  • Ability to read and interpret wire harness prints, schematics, and engineering drawings.

  • Experience stripping, crimping, and terminating wires and connectors.

  • Electronics troubleshooting experience.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (not required to hold at start).

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (preferred, but not required for the right candidate).

  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow technical instructions and work in a fast-paced engineering environment.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
