JOB TITLE: Wire Design & Installation Engineer 4

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Develops and maintains cable and wire harness detail and assembly designs.

• Analyzes results and performs design reviews for wire harness and electrical systems.

• Leads team to analyze results and perform design reviews.

• Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies including rejection tags, production action requests, and shop revision requests.

• Documents processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.

• Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules, and budgets for electrical design projects.

• Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.

• Performs electrical wire design (logical) for BCA Programs including 737 and 777.

• Performs equipment installation and wire installation (physical) engineering design.

• Uses CADDStation for wire design engineering and CATIA or Enovia for wire and equipment installation engineering at advanced level.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD 4 years' related work experience, Master 7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

• Advanced proficiency in CADDStation for wire design engineering.

• Advanced proficiency in CATIA and/or Enovia for wire and equipment installation engineering.

• Experience developing and maintaining cable and wire harness detail and assembly designs.

• Experience providing engineering design disposition on discrepancies (rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).

• Experience documenting processes, specifications, and procedures for electrical commodities.

• Experience developing complex statements of work, metrics, schedules, and budgets.

• Experience performing technical review of supplier capabilities.

• Experience with electrical wire design (logical) for BCA Programs including 737 and 777.

• Experience with equipment installation and wire installation (physical) engineering design.
