Job Description

JOB TITLE: Wire Bonder
LOCATION: 
Chelmsford, MA
PAY RATE: $30/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Interim Secret required to start; full Secret required to maintain employment

  • Shift: Day shift, Full-Time (Mon–Thu) 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM, with possible overtime

  • Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Fabricate microelectronic components and sub-assemblies using manual and automatic wire/ribbon bonding machines

  • Use microscopes, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment to meet quality standards

  • Read and interpret assembly process/work instructions

  • Handle components requiring visual magnification for extended periods

  • Operate hand tools (tweezers, cutters, rulers) and pneumatic tools (torque drivers, screwdrivers)

  • Maintain accurate production data entry

  • Collaborate with team members to improve throughput and implement continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Clearance: Interim Secret required to start; full Secret required to maintain employment

  • Experience with manual gold ball/ribbon bonding and automated bonding equipment

  • Basic computer skills for timekeeping, work instructions, and task tracking

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written/verbal instructions

  • Willingness to learn J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 standards

  • Knowledge of ESD procedures and test equipment

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, reliability, and desire to grow in the role

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
