JOB TITLE: Toolmaker Jig and Fixture

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings

• Design and fabricate jigs, fixtures, and templates for production

• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and finish metal stock to exact specifications

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, drills)

• File, grind, and shim metals for accurate fit and smooth finish

• Assemble and repair tools, dies, and molds

• Inspect finished tooling for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and contour

• Apply knowledge of materials (metals, fiberglass, thermoplastics) and machining processes

• Troubleshoot and solve complex fabrication problems

• Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas

• Collaborate effectively with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Completion of apprenticeship or equivalent technical training and experience

• Strong ability to visualize and compute shapes, tolerances, and dimensions

• Proficient in manual and CNC machining setup and operation

• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

• Highly motivated, safety-conscious, and quality-driven team player

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
