Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Responsible for laying out and constructing tools based on Tool Design drawings, Engineering specifications, or hand sketches.

• Calculate material needs and operating various tool shop machinery to fabricate and assemble quality tooling.

• Set up and operate tool shop machinery and equipment to fabricate tools based on Tool Design and Engineering drawings or sketches.

• Calculate material requirements, as well as proper speeds and feeds for machining operations.

• Use precision measuring tools and inspect own work for accuracy and compliance with specifications.

• Assist in the tool prove-out process for new and reworked tooling.

• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Operate carts and forklifts as required.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 3 years of machine shop experience and/or machine shop training from a Vocational Technical School

• Valid Driver’s License required

• Strong understanding of shop math and blueprint reading

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Experience setting up and using measuring instruments and shop tools

• Must be reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
