Job Description

JOB TITLE: Tool and Die Maker
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $26-31/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Fabricate, repair, and maintain tools, dies, and fixtures used in manufacturing.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create precise tooling components.

  • Operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.

  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and quality, both in-shop and on-aircraft.

  • Collaborate with engineers and team members to develop innovative tooling solutions.

  • Perform inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with specifications and standards.

  • Assist with aircraft structures tasks, including assembly, installation, and repair as needed.

  • Fabricate aircraft parts per engineering and production requirements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 5+ years of experience as a Machinist or Tool Maker.

  • 5+ years operating manual mill and lathe machines.

  • 5+ years reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

  • 5+ years working with precision measuring tools.

  • Experience in aircraft heavy maintenance (Depot Level).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Regular and predictable attendance required.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
