Summary:
Fabricate, repair, and maintain tools, dies, and fixtures used in manufacturing.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create precise tooling components.
Operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and quality, both in-shop and on-aircraft.
Collaborate with engineers and team members to develop innovative tooling solutions.
Perform inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
Assist with aircraft structures tasks, including assembly, installation, and repair as needed.
Fabricate aircraft parts per engineering and production requirements.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
5+ years of experience as a Machinist or Tool Maker.
5+ years operating manual mill and lathe machines.
5+ years reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
5+ years working with precision measuring tools.
Experience in aircraft heavy maintenance (Depot Level).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Regular and predictable attendance required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
