JOB TITLE: Test & Evaluation Engineer Level 4
LOCATION: Edwards AFB, CA
PAY RATE: $84.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Supports development and verification of test methods.

  • Develops detailed test procedures, instrumentation and configuration definition to perform test and minimize risk within test plan constraints.

  • Performs detailed planning and execution of aircraft ground and flight test.

  • Reviews test data including off-nominal data for accuracy, quality or fidelity prior to delivery to customer.

  • Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements.

  • Presents test results internally.

  • Archives data and reports.

  • Trains or guides junior test conductors in flight test career development.

  • Leads flight test program planning and execution for T-7A program including flight sciences and mission systems.

  • Coordinates flight test operations with Flight Operations, Test Operations, Instrumentation & Data Systems, System Design, Fabrication and Assembly.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance is required to start.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.

  • 5+ years of experience with principles of flight test or experience directly supporting flight test operations.

  • 5+ years of experience in planning and conducting system level lab, ground, or flight testing.

  • 100+ hours of control room experience as a Test Conductor.

  • Preferred: 10 or more years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience performing tactical aircraft flight testing (planning or executing).

  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience directly interfacing with customers and senior program leadership.

  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience developing detailed test points from system level specification requirements, test planning, execution and reporting test results.
