JOB TITLE: Test & Evaluation Engineer Level 3
LOCATION: Taft, CA
PAY RATE: $74.25/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: No active clearance is required to start, but candidates must be eligible to obtain one; active clearances are preferred.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Supports development and tracking of performance metrics, tracks trends, and works with leadership to develop action plans.

  • Aids in development of a test execution plan including resource allocation, top level schedule for equipment and floor space usage, test support requirements, and near or long-term program milestones.

  • Improves overall communication and collaboration through a communication plan providing status of current test and cleaning activities relative to upcoming test activities.

  • Supports development, creation, and maintenance of test and cleaning documentation for test execution and cleaning requirements.

  • Tracks current and upcoming test phases to status cleaning and testing activities to meet program need dates.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with propulsion test management and engineers daily.

  • Integrates Prop Test execution requirements and resources to conduct pressure testing and clean room operations.

  • Applies experience in test laboratory operations including propulsion testing of pressure and fluid systems and vacuum systems.

  • Performs precision cleaning of hardware.

  • Applies clean room operations experience.

Requirements:

  • No active clearance is required to start, but candidates must be eligible to obtain one; active clearances are preferred.

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 7+ years experience in test laboratory operations.

  • 7+ years of experience performing propulsion testing in any of: propulsion systems, pressure and fluid systems, and vacuum systems.

  • 4+ years of precision cleaning of hardware experience.

  • Preferred: 4+ years of clean room operations.

  • Preferred: Experience as a lead, supervisor, or manager.

  • Preferred: Propellant and chemical handling or storage requirements.
