JOB TITLE: Test Engineer - DEFENSE 
LOCATION: Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $68.51/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 4/10A – 1st Shift

  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Interim Secret (not required to start)

Summary: 

  • Design, integrate, verify, and validate hardware/software for test equipment.

  • Integrate designs into existing common core test station architectures.

  • Develop test plans, documentation, and analyses for design assurance reviews, verification, and validation activities.

  • Program Test Program Sets (TPS) using TestStandâ„¢, LabWindows CVIâ„¢, and LabVIEWâ„¢.

  • Design electrical hardware, cables, and circuit boards, including component selection and procurement.

  • Troubleshoot test system hardware and resolve interface test adapter (ITA) issues for in-house or supplier-modified equipment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, develop, and interpret electrical schematics.

  • Experience with electrical hardware, cable, and harness design, including schematic development, component selection, and technician support during assembly.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).

  • Moderate to advanced programming knowledge with National Instruments tools (TestStandâ„¢, LabWindows CVIâ„¢, LabVIEWâ„¢).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to management.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required.

  • 1–2 years of experience with Power Electronics.

  • 2–4 years of experience with Production, Electrical Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.

  • 1–2 years developing and executing Validation Test Plans.

  • 1–2 years applying technical principles and theories in engineering, with general knowledge of related disciplines.

  • 1–2 years of experience with Test Stations in a production environment.

  • Familiarity with LMMFC Design Assurance Process and experience leading reviews.

  • Experience with Interface Test Adapter (ITA) designs.

  • Demonstrated background in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and test methodologies.

  • Proven ability in hardware troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with electro-optical principles is a plus.

  • Experience interpreting and analyzing test requirements.

  • Safety shoes are required for this position.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
