Summary:
Collaborate across technical disciplines in a team environment
Lead a team responsible for computing, data storage infrastructure, and tools
Provide technical expertise, leadership, and mentorship to the infrastructure team
Partner with the Infrastructure Manager to modernize and transform existing test IT systems
Oversee planning, design, integration, security, monitoring, and optimization of infrastructure
Assist in implementing best practices for managing server rooms and lab spaces
Harden and deploy secure, NIST-compliant test infrastructure
Design hybrid solutions using on-prem systems and cloud services
Develop documentation and processes to improve repeatability and reduce waste
Operate in a hands-on lab environment with a range of test equipment
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, physics, chemistry, mathematics, or data science
9+ years of experience (or 7+ years with a Master’s, or 4+ years with a PhD)
5+ years of experience leading technical teams
Strong knowledge of cloud services, virtualization, networking, storage, and NIST-compliant infrastructure
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Security+ certification (CompTIA)
Network+ (CompTIA), CCNA, or CCNP certifications
Experience with large-scale server/IT system management
Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows environments
Python programming experience
Experience with VMWare vSphere
Background in managing projects across various lifecycle phases
