JOB TITLE: Test & Evaluation Engineer 2 - Automated Systems
LOCATION: El Segundo, CA
PAY RATE: $65/hour

Summary: 

• Collaborate with Product Security, Software, and IT engineers to execute Infrastructure and Tools team objectives

• Interface effectively with multiple technical disciplines in a team environment

• Partner with the Infrastructure Manager to modernize and transform existing test IT infrastructure and tools

• Design complex IT infrastructure and network architectures, including redundancy and disaster recovery systems

• Lead initiatives to upgrade infrastructure and drive adoption of virtualization and automation technologies

• Implement best practices for managing network server room operations

• Develop engineering documentation and standardized processes to improve efficiency and repeatability

• Set up infrastructure tools and environments, including servers, virtual machines, storage, and network/firewall systems

• Champion lab excellence initiatives to continuously improve server room and lab environments

• Work hands-on in a lab environment with various types of test equipment

Requirements:

• Must be eligible to obtain Tier 5 (T5) and Top Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of engineering experience, or Master’s degree with engineering experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required from an accredited engineering, computer science, or related technical program

• 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience managing large-scale servers and IT systems (bare metal and virtual environments)

• Experience managing and troubleshooting Layer 2/3 networking, switches, routers, and firewalls

• VMware administration and upgrade experience

• Experience managing cloud services (AWS and Azure)

• Experience with data backup and recovery solutions

• Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills

Preferred Skills:

• Security+ certification

• VMware certification(s)

• 10+ years of related work experience or equivalent education/experience

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies

• Experience with Ansible, VMware Aria, and PowerCLI automation

• Experience in mixed Unix/Linux and Windows environments, including VMware and NAS/SAN storage

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments

• 5+ years leading technical teams

• Active Top Secret clearance with current Tier 5 (T5)
