Job Description

JOB TITLE: Systems Engineer 3 - System Integration, Verification & Validation
LOCATION: Oklahoma City, OK
PAY RATE: Up to $71.79/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Active secret clearance required

Summary: 

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle-balanced systems and solutions.

  • Defines and coordinates system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and ensures compatibility across physical, functional, and program interfaces.

  • Performs analyses to optimize system architecture with considerations for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human factors, survivability, vulnerability, security, regulatory compliance, certification, and product assurance.

  • Supports planning, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management, risk/opportunity management, and technology readiness.

  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience (or equivalent education/experience)

  • Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Experience collaborating across technical teams and leadership

  • Proficiency in DOORS, verification compliance, and test planning

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of related work experience (or equivalent education/experience)

  • Experience in ICD development, logical architecture, requirements/specification development, system functions, and SSOW development

  • Requirements management and verification/validation experience (IBM DOORS)

  • Experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management

  • Systems integration and test experience (lab, ground, and flight test)

  • Experience mentoring and leading other engineers
