JOB TITLE: Surface Mount Tech (SMT) - Circuit Boards / Solder

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Operates through-hole or SMT automatic assembly equipment to produce high-quality, complex printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies.

• Responsible for set-up, operation, and routine maintenance of assembly equipment.

• Manually or semi-automatically screen print solder paste.

• Operates adhesive dispensing equipment.

• Loads components (in tubes or reels) onto feeders and places feeders onto placement equipment.

• May hand place some SMT components.

• Places assembled PCBs into solder reflow ovens.

• Uses standard electronic hand tools (solder, flux, and adhesive) when necessary.

• Follows drawings, visual aids, and other instructions to identify and resolve defects.

Requirements:

• Experience with moderately complex Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing processes, including both automated equipment and manual assembly.

• Proficient in performing SMT tasks such as inspection, AOI equipment setup, operation, and adjustments.

• Skilled in operating additional SMT equipment, including X-ray systems, stencil printers, and related tools.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
