JOB TITLE:  Support Engineering Data Specialist 2
LOCATION: Warner Robins, GA
PAY RATE: $47/hour

Summary: 

• Developing and maintaining publication elements for all levels of maintenance on new or fielded major equipment systems or subsystems.

• Content may include theory of operations, flight manuals, testing and troubleshooting procedures, illustrated parts breakdowns, removal/installation procedures, and schematic diagrams.

• Develops clear and accurate technical documentation in accordance with customer and industry standards

• Identifies and resolves gaps or inconsistencies in source data through collaboration with originators

• Provides mark-ups and inputs for technical illustrations and schematics

• Updates publication content based on engineering changes, reviews, and equipment modifications

• Collects, researches, and analyzes source data (e.g., maintenance concepts, task analysis, workflows, design intent) to assess impact on documentation

• Identifies inaccuracies in source data and takes corrective action

• Validates source data assumptions for technical accuracy

• Conducts peer reviews for technical accuracy and format compliance

• Supports customer verification reviews and implements corrective actions as needed

Requirements:

• Typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree

• 3+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., Master’s degree + 1 year, or 7 years of relevant experience)

• Proficiency in MS Office applications

• Familiarity with XML and Contenta

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with S1000D standards

• Experience with Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) development
