JOB TITLE: Subcontract Administrator
LOCATION: Lexington, KY 
PAY RATE: $21-41.53/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Summary: 

  • Managing subcontracts from RFP through contract award and lifecycle execution

  • Monitoring and controlling subcontract cost, schedule, and performance

  • Implementing supplier corrective action plans and driving return-to-green initiatives

  • Preparing and presenting status reports to senior and executive leadership

  • Partnering with Compliance teams to support audits and regulatory reviews

  • (LG4/LG5 only) Mentoring team members and serving as a subject-matter expert on complex, Spec/SOW-driven subcontracts

Requirements:

  • Experience (dependent on LG level) in government procurement and subcontract acquisitions

  • Strong understanding of global supply chain and complex government procurement concepts

  • Experience conducting data analysis, research, and negotiations using multiple data sources

  • Demonstrated expertise in cost/price analysis and negotiation strategy development

  • Experience evaluating proposals and negotiating in accordance with FAR and DFARS

  • Experience working with Statements of Work (SOWs)

  • Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and labor contracts

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience leading teams or project initiatives with demonstrated problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of DoD contract types

  • Experience with SAP systems

  • Ability to onboard new suppliers and manage supplier performance

  • Knowledge of labor contracts and labor-driven procurement

  • Familiarity with Special Operations Forces (SOF) contracts

  • Experience establishing and managing competitive and non-competitive pricing agreements

  • Proven experience leading complex negotiations

  • Experience leading or supporting a Subcontract Management Team (SMT)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, suppliers, and external stakeholders
