JOB TITLE: Structural Mechanic I
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $21.21/hour

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Assemble and fit structural parts, performing drilling and riveting operations.

• Rivet assemblies using tools such as portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, and reamers.

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and operation sheets.

• Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, clamps, and fasteners.

• Inspect work to ensure defect-free assembly before final inspection.

• Maintain logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs).

• Support Lean initiatives and comply with safety regulations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 1 year of structural assembly experience.

• Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.

• Graduates of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program may receive one year of experience credit.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use a 6" scale.

• Basic computer and shop math skills.

• Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Experience working with composite resins and materials.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, and work in confined spaces.

• Must be able to work any shift.
