JOB TITLE: Structural Analysis Engineer 4
LOCATION: Berkeley, MO
PAY RATE: $96/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Clearance is required post-start.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Lead development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish system design

  • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and establish product environmental requirements

  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models (FEM), simulations, and other engineering tools

  • Develop structural environments, characteristics, and performance criteria throughout the product lifecycle

  • Lead development of test plans and configurations

  • Support test execution and analyze/report results to validate systems and components meet requirements

  • Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies

  • Lead investigations into in-service failures and analyze improvement opportunities

  • Develop analytical processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency

  • Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced engineering environment

Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

  • A final U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Clearance is required post-start.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field

    • ABET accreditation preferred (U.S.), but not required

  • 10+ years of structural analysis experience

  • 8+ years of experience analyzing primary structures, subsystems, or weapons systems in the aerospace industry

  • Experience performing hand calculations

  • Experience using industry CAD tools such as:

    • PRO-E

    • SOLIDWORKS

    • AUTOCAD

    • NX/Teamcenter

    • CATIA/ENOVIA

  • Experience using FEM software such as:

    • PATRAN/NASTRAN

    • StressCheck

    • HyperWorks

    • Abaqus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Analysis Tools including:

    • CAESAR

    • Lifeworks

    • Mechanica

    • Common Structures Workstation
