Job Description

JOB TITLE: Structural Analysis Engineer 4 - Aerospace 

LOCATION: Berkeley, MO

PAY RATE: $87.00 per hour.

Summary: 

  • Leads development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design. 

  • Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. 

  • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance. 

  • Led test plans and configurations development, supported test execution, and analyzed/reported test results to validate and verify systems and components met requirements and specifications. 

  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate that requirements are satisfied for customers and regulatory agencies. 

  • Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. 

  • Develop analytical processes/tools to improve the development effort's effectiveness, quality, and efficiency. 

  • Works under minimal direction.

  • Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

Required Skills:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor).

  • 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). 

  • ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard in the USA.

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience with Commercial Airplanes (BCA) structural and fatigue experience using tools such as NASTRAN / PATRAN, CSW, IAS, CASTLE, and Excel/VBA. 

  • Composite wing experience is preferred.
