Job Description

JOB TITLE: Stress Analysis Engineer
LOCATION: 
Greensboro, NC
PAY RATE: $67-77/hour

We are a national staffing firm partnering with top-tier aerospace companies, and we are seeking first-class employees to join our clients’ teams!

Summary: 

  • Specialize in the analysis, certification, and testing of metallic and composite primary structures.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for metallic primary structures.

  • Lead and mentor contract and associate stress engineers.

  • Prepare certification stress reports and collaborate with FAA DERs.

  • Conduct structural testing and apply both classic hand analysis (Bruhn, Peery, Roark, ESDU) and FEA methods.

  • Present analysis and assumptions clearly and logically.

  • Manage assigned projects from start to completion, providing updates to management.

Requirements:

  • MUST BE US PERSONS

  • BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred).

  • FAA DER (14 CFR 23/25) is a plus but not required.

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling (CATIA v5, Unigraphics).

  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, VB, Matlab).

  • Expertise in Finite Element Analysis (NASTRAN, ABAQUS).

  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in environments with noise, heat, cold, dust, and fuel odors.

  • Capable of standing, sitting, squatting, bending, climbing, and reaching for extended periods.

  • Lift/move up to 10 lbs independently and up to 50 lbs with assistance.

  • Adhere to safety regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).

  • Strong verbal and written communication in Business English.
