Job Description

JOB TITLE: Sr. Avionics Installer - 1st Shift
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Provide work direction to technicians; ensure tasks are completed on time

  • Coordinate with other departments to support on-time aircraft delivery

  • Install, modify, and fabricate wiring, electrical components, and associated equipment per blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings

  • Train team members on assigned tasks; mentor others by sharing expertise and innovative approaches

  • Assist Engineering in troubleshooting and making repairs per engineering direction

  • Maintain required logs and records

  • Ensure work complies with regulatory standards and customer specifications

  • Enforce company programs including FOD control, tool control, 5S, and all safety procedures

  • Inspect work (own and others) to ensure defect-free assembly before final inspection

  • Properly maintain and care for shop tools and equipment

  • Coordinate shift changes in the team leader’s absence

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events)

  • Support and back up the team coordinator as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Either:

    • Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years of related work experience, or

    • Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electronics career field

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams

  • Working knowledge of Policies and Procedures, Inspection Procedures Manual, and applicable Process Specifications

  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to new tasks with minimal impact to productivity or schedule

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic computer and keyboard proficiency

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
