JOB TITLE: Solder Inspector - 2nd Shift 
LOCATION: Clearwater, FL
PAY RATE: Up to $27/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (Overtime on weekends)

Summary: 

  • Performs visual inspection of solder joints and conformal coating on printed wiring boards (PWBs) and circuit card assemblies (CCAs) in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 standards.

  • Utilizes inspection instructions, drawings, checklists, and measuring tools (dial indicators, micrometers, scales, etc.) to verify compliance with specifications and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 2 years of experience inspecting:

    • Solder connections on surface-mount and plated through-hole components

    • Conformal coating on PWBs per IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001

  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, parts lists, revision-controlled documents, and IPC manuals

  • Detail-oriented with solid documentation skills

  • Proficient with personal computers and comfortable navigating inspection software

  • Effective communicator and team player; works well across teams to address quality issues diplomatically

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in:

    • IPC-A-610

    • IPC-J-STD

    • Visual inspection

    • Measuring tools and equipment

  • Collaborative team player (1–2 years)

  • Strong drawing interpretation skills (2–4 years)

  • Effective documentation and record-keeping (1–2 years)

  • Tech-savvy with inspection systems and basic PC tools

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
