JOB TITLE: Software Test Engineer

Summary: 

• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and cases for avionics and electrical software systems

• Perform software verification and validation activities in compliance with aerospace standards

• Conduct unit, integration, and system-level testing of safety-critical software

• Interface with avionics, electrical, and systems engineering teams to define test coverage and requirements

• Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and system integration testing

• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution

• Analyze test results and provide clear reporting on software performance and compliance

• Support troubleshooting efforts during integration, ground testing, and flight test activities

• Contribute to test documentation, requirements traceability, and certification artifacts

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• Experience in software testing or verification within avionics, electrical, or embedded systems environments

• Understanding of safety-critical software development and test methodologies

• Ability to read and interpret system requirements, schematics, and interface documentation

• Familiarity with scripting or test automation tools (Python, MATLAB, or similar)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication skills across multidisciplinary engineering teams

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
