JOB TITLE: Software Engineer 
LOCATION: Santa Rosa, CA
PAY RATE: $48.00 – 55.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Designs, develops, modifies, tests, and supports software and control systems used in automated manufacturing and test equipment.

  • Develops and troubleshoots PLC logic for automated manufacturing equipment.

  • Develops and troubleshoots operator interfaces, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and equipment communications.

  • Supports Maintenance and Engineering teams with equipment troubleshooting, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and reliability improvements.

  • Documents control systems by updating wiring diagrams, mapping I/O, documenting signal flow, and creating as-built technical documentation.

  • Supports equipment upgrades and legacy system modernization including hardware replacement, software migration, testing, commissioning, and production release.

  • Uses PLC programming tools including Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley RSLogix, and GE Fanuc LogicMaster.

  • Troubleshoots electrical controls, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, motor controls, and electro-mechanical equipment.

  • Reads and interprets electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, control drawings, and mechanical drawings.

  • Develops, modifies, tests, and debugs software used to control automated equipment or manufacturing systems.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • 1-2 years of experience with PLC programming tools (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley RSLogix, or GE Fanuc LogicMaster).

  • 1-2 years of experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial automation, or control-system support.

  • 1-2 years of experience troubleshooting electrical controls, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, motor controls, or electro-mechanical equipment.

  • 1-2 years of experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, control drawings, or mechanical drawings.

  • 1-2 years of experience developing, modifying, testing, or debugging software for automated equipment or manufacturing systems.

  • 1-2 years of experience creating or maintaining technical documentation, wiring diagrams, equipment configuration records, software revisions, or change-control documentation.

  • Preferred: LabVIEW programming experience using National Instruments development tools.

  • Preferred: Experience with industrial wiring, control panels, field devices, instrumentation, equipment communications, or conductor termination.

  • Preferred: Experience with equipment upgrades, hardware obsolescence planning, software migration, and manufacturing data systems.
