JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
LOCATION: Fort Worth, TX
PAY RATE: $90.00 – 100.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Prepares engineering basis of estimate (BOE) bids for new features and coordinates with Cost Accounting Manager (CAM).

  • Drives product development using Agile methodology for mission-critical aircraft software.

  • Designs, implements, and integrates C and C++ code for airborne applications.

  • Participates in requirement analysis, verification, and validation activities for embedded software.

  • Conducts and supports hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulations and testing.

  • Partners with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and elevate software quality.

  • Contributes to documentation and configuration management using IBM DOORS.

  • Applies strong process knowledge for developing mission-critical embedded software per DO-178B and DO-178C standards.

  • Performs requirement-based testing (RVT) and unit testing for software validation.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Expert proficiency in C++ or C programming languages.

  • Experience with IBM DOORS or comparable requirements management tools.

  • Strong process knowledge for developing mission-critical embedded software for aircraft applications (DO-178B, DO-178C).

  • Knowledge of HWIL simulation environments, requirement-based testing (RVT), and unit testing.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for software development.

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.

  • Preferred: Working knowledge of MATLAB and Python.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with 6DoF Simulations and Fire control systems.
