JOB TITLE: Software Engineer-Developer 4

PAY RATE: $112.25/hour

Summary: 

• Leads development and maintenance of requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for high-performance APIs between front-end and back-end software services.

• Leads support of software development activities in an Agile environment using DevSecOps methodologies, including integration of completed software components into a fully functional software system.

• Leads development of critical features and takes ownership of the full development lifecycle from design through deployment.

• Builds, architects, and consumes APIs and backend services as part of the platform ecosystem, with emphasis on automation, testing, and security.

• Leads code reviews to maintain code quality, enforce best practices, and ensure compliance with established standards.

• Leads creation and translation of design mockups into functional, visually appealing user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks and technologies.

• Develops software for space systems and ground segments, including command, control, mission planning, and data processing.

• Develops software using Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Implements CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, builds, and deployment workflows.

• Works with database technologies including Postgres, SQL, and NoSQL.

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance required to start.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor's degree or higher is required.

• 5+ years of experience with software development for space systems and ground segments performing command, control, mission planning, and data processing.

• 5+ years of development experience using Python.

• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript (e.g., Angular, JQuery).

• 3+ years of experience working with TypeScript.

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in software development utilizing modern methodologies on government programs.

• 5+ years of experience with designing and developing intuitive user interfaces featuring real-time, 2D/3D geospatial visualization.

• 3+ years of experience with Java and FastAPI (Python API) languages.

• Strong experience using CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, builds, and deployment workflows.
