Summary: 

• Lead the development, testing, and maintenance of web applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.

• Lead the review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial software design.

• Coordinate the development, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of software products and system integrations.

• Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products.

• Participate in the agile software development lifecycle, including planning, reviews, and customer meetings.

• Debug and lead resolution of technical issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency.

• Lead handling of user inquiries, troubleshooting, and user feedback analysis.

• Research and implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development.

• Lead the development, monitoring, and improvement of software processes, tools, and key performance metrics to align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.

• Execute and document software R&D projects.

• Provide consultation on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.

• Lead software project management and supplier management activities.

• Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance required (must have been active within the past 24 months).

• Typically requires advanced technical education (Bachelor’s or higher) in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, plus 9+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., PhD + 4 years, Master’s + 7 years). ABET accreditation preferred but not required.

• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

• 3+ years of experience in Python.

• Experience with software architecture principles and design patterns.

• Experience with agile software development and structured development processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited program.

• Experience leading an agile software development team.

• Experience with relational databases.

• Experience with React, Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Experience with infrastructure tooling, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience building regression test suites.
