JOB TITLE: Software Engineer - Developer 4

PAY RATE: $105.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Lead software development activities, including:

    • Detailed software design

    • Coding and implementation

    • Unit, integration, functional, and system testing

  • Translate system-level requirements into software requirements, models, and traceable artifacts.

  • Lead code reviews to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.

  • Monitor testing, verification, issue resolution, and software performance throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Conduct risk, issue, and opportunity analysis, driving mitigation actions across software programs.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between customer requirements and software solutions.

  • Review products and processes for alignment with project plans, quality expectations, and industry standards.

  • Lead and support software integration and deployment activities.

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance (SCI Eligibility Required)

  • 5+ years of experience in:

    • Computer Science fundamentals

    • Object-oriented design and software patterns

  • Experience with Java, C++, and/or Python on full stack software development programs.

  • Experience leading software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, projects, and/or teams.

  • Ability to successfully complete a CI Polygraph post-start.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or related technical field.

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/OpenLayers, Spring Framework, Hibernate, REST/Open API, and RDBMS/NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB).

  • Experience with JMS, WebLogic, and middleware technologies.

  • Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies, including user stories, sprints, standups, and release planning.

  • Experience with TDD, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and tools such as Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.

  • Experience writing and executing unit, integration, and system test cases.

  • Experience supporting space-based or ground-based systems.
