JOB TITLE: Software Engineer / Developer 4 - Development
LOCATION: Hazelwood, MO
PAY RATE: $78.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Oversee review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial software product designs.

  • Coordinate the development, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of software products and system integration functionalities.

  • Lead documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products.

  • Debug and resolve software issues to ensure product reliability and efficiency.

  • Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback.

  • Research and implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and relevant regulatory changes.

  • Develop, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics to align projects with organizational goals and industry standards.

  • Execute and document software research and development projects.

  • Provide consultation on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.

  • Lead software project management and supplier management activities.

  • Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited program in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s).

  • 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s + 7 years, PhD + 4 years).

  • ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.

  • 5+ years of C# development experience

  • 5+ years of experience in an Agile development environment

  • Experience designing and implementing new customer-facing features

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of C# development experience

  • Web development experience, preferably with Vue.js

  • Experience with cloud deployments

  • Experience working with Amazon Workspaces
