PAY RATE: $114.15/hour

Summary: 

  • Oversee the architecture, design, development, and analysis of software systems

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate software requirements and models into solutions that meet customer, operational, and performance requirements

  • Oversee system-level software analyses to identify risks, issues, and opportunities

  • Lead software teams through code reviews to ensure alignment with requirements and standards

  • Oversee product and process reviews for compliance with project plans and industry standards

  • Research and guide implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks

  • Position is 100% onsite in Albuquerque, NM (development, design, reviews, customer coordination, closed-area development, etc.)

Requirements:

 

 

  • Active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a directly related non-U.S. equivalent

  • 9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 7+ years with a Master’s degree, or PhD with relevant work experience

  • Experience with space and/or satellite ground mission systems, products, domains, or customers

  • Experience leading software development efforts in Architect, Lead, or Chief Engineer roles

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience

  • Experience with one or more of the following: Java, C++, Python, JavaScript frameworks (React, jQuery UI, OpenLayers), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, REST, OpenAPI

  • Experience with dependency management and automation tools (Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, etc.)

  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.)

  • Familiarity with TDD, Agile development, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience as a Technical Lead Engineer, Software Lead, Software Architect, and/or Chief Engineer on complex software programs

  • Experience with software supporting control systems, embedded/FPGA, low-latency deterministic systems, operator interfaces, ground antennas, optical sensors, or gimbal control systems
