JOB TITLE: Software Engineer – Artificial Intelligence Level 4
LOCATION: Cambridge, MA
PAY RATE: $103.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Work Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, 9 AM – 5 PM, 9x80 Work Schedule

Summary: 

  • Lead the design, development, documentation, and implementation of AI algorithms and models using standard methods and tools, considering ethical implications and minimizing potential biases.

  • Use existing AI tools to evaluate their effectiveness in code generation and application to avionics software.

  • Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to ensure data quality, reliability, and actionable insights.

  • Train, evaluate, optimize, and monitor AI model performance and capabilities.

  • Conduct Safety Risk Management processes for AI models in accordance with organizational standards.

  • Integrate and deploy efficient, scalable AI models into production environments.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and domain experts to understand business requirements, gather feedback, and iterate AI models and algorithms.

  • Research and implement emerging AI technologies, frameworks, tools, and regulations.

  • Contribute to AI Design Practices and organizational knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in a software engineering classification, or Master’s degree with 1+ year experience.

  • Familiar with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Google Test, PyTest) to ensure efficient test execution.

  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) to optimize workflows is a plus.

  • Collaborate effectively with HIL teams to integrate software with hardware-in-the-loop testing environments.

  • Strong willingness to leverage AI tools and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) to accelerate software development.

  • Programming experience in C, C++, Python, or other modern languages.

  • Familiarity with ADA or avionics software is a plus.

  • Strong team player with excellent documentation and communication skills in fast-paced development environments.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education or experience in AI algorithms and/or use of AI tools.

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance if sponsored.
