Summary: 

• Manufacture, assemble, and/or refurbish aircraft parts and structures such as F-16 frames, F-35 canopies, and C-130 subassemblies

• Perform tasks including part alignment on jigs, minor filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working

• Measure parts to verify dimensions and make modifications or repairs as needed

• Work from blueprints, drawings, specifications, and shop orders

• Monitor and verify quality; develop corrective actions as needed

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required

• 3 years of sheet metal assembly or aircraft sheet metal structures experience

• Proficient with hand tools, including torque wrenches, drills, inspection tools, riveting tools, and other hand tools

• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings or instructions

• Previous experience as an Assembler or Aircraft Structures Mechanic preferred

• Experience with F-16, C-130, or F-35 aircraft structures is a plus

• Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently or in teams and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors

• Strong mathematical ability to perform or understand calculations in assigned areas

• Competent in using computers and systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
