JOB TITLE: Senior VIP Interiors Mechanic

SALARY: $61,000 - $85,000 per year

Summary:
Works under minimal supervision to perform removals, installation, and fabrication of aircraft interiors (e.g., galleys, closets, bulkheads, doors, and panels).
VIP aircraft interiors experience is preferred but not required.
Overseeing uncertified mechanics and facilitating On-the-Job Training (OJT) are part of the role.
Manufacture and fabricate interior components on VIP aircraft using materials like wood, fiberglass, and sheet metal.
Install, trim, and fit interior components including galleys, bulkheads, and doors.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manuals.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain cabinetry and interior parts.
Provide OJT and mentor less experienced team members.
Assist in planning, production, and quality assurance of projects.
Communicate effectively with team and leadership regarding progress and challenges.
Complete tasks on time, accurately clocking jobs and maintaining regular attendance.
Required Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in aircraft interior installation, fabrication, or related fields.
VIP aircraft interiors experience is a plus.
Applicable Repairman, Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
Must qualify as a US Person for ITAR compliance.
Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong math and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work overtime and travel as required.
Overtime is required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance).
Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces.
Ability to comply with DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
Normal or corrected vision and full range of motion in both hands.
