JOB TITLE: Senior Upholstery Technician 
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Fabricate and install seat covers, curtains, and assemblies.

• Interpret material specifications and design drawings to ensure compliance with requirements.

• Sew, fabricate, and install covers for all panel styles while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards.

• Use the material tracking system (Corridor) to manage parts demand, track issues, and sign off work.

• Cut and install advanced custom carpets with unique patterns.

• Assist with Lead responsibilities, overseeing projects and delegating tasks.

• Conduct safety audits and assist team members in maintaining safety standards.

• Maintain shop equipment and ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping policies.

• Mentor and train junior technicians, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

• Work with Lead and senior technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 4 years of upholstery experience, including 2 years in aircraft upholstery, or 6 years in commercial upholstery.

• Advanced knowledge of upholstery, sewing processes, and custom carpet installation.

• Knowledge of inspection and process specifications.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

• Ability to read blueprints and engineering documentation.

• Computer literacy required.

• Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.
