JOB TITLE: Senior Electronics Engineer, Effectors

PAY RATE: $150,000-190,000/year

Summary: 

• Leads the full PCB design cycle including requirements development, schematic design, component selection, layout oversight, bring-up, functional verification, and performance testing.

• Designs, develops, integrates, and debugs avionics systems and subsystems for aircraft and launcher electrical systems.

• Develops system interconnect diagrams and defines wire harnesses connecting systems within the air vehicle.

• Supports design updates driven by product improvements, component obsolescence, and evolving program requirements.

• Conducts peer-level and cross-disciplinary design reviews for electronics systems.

• Applies in-depth understanding of analog, mixed-signal, digital, and RF circuit design.

• Uses common test equipment and CAD tools such as Altium for circuit design and validation.

• Applies experience with microcontrollers, common serial interfaces, high-speed communications, and firmware and software integration.

• Applies knowledge of MIL-Spec hardware, wiring, and harnessing for aerospace systems.

• Mentors junior engineers and promotes sound engineering practices.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience in electronics design and development.

• Demonstrated capability in complex circuit board design, bring-up, signal and power integrity analysis, and validation.

• Proven experience designing electronics from concept through functional prototype, including hardware selection, documentation, system-level integration, and troubleshooting.

• In-depth understanding of analog, mixed-signal, digital, and RF circuit design.

• Strong working knowledge of common test equipment and CAD tools such as Altium.

• Preferred: Experience designing electronics for robotic, aerospace, or aircraft systems.

• Preferred: Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, serial interfaces, high-speed communications, and firmware or software integration.

• Preferred: Familiarity with MIL-Spec hardware, wiring, and harnessing, and experience in UAV or UAS systems.
