Summary: 

  • Develop and maintain master drawing lists for electrical systems (STC projects).

  • Define electrical system architecture to meet client and regulatory requirements.

  • Design and support aircraft interior electrical systems, including:

    • Cabin management, in-flight entertainment (IFE), and communication (IFC) systems

    • Power distribution and conversion systems

    • Environmental systems (heating/cooling)

    • Safety systems (fire detection, security, and cameras)

    • Potable/waste-water systems and personal power solutions

  • Create wiring diagrams, wire kits, and technical documentation.

  • Review and approve drawing packages for release.

  • Support FAA certification efforts and develop testing/verification procedures.

  • Collaborate with installation teams to troubleshoot issues and implement design updates.

  • Interface with clients, vendors, FAA designees, and internal teams throughout project lifecycles.

  • Support proposal development, engineering estimates, scheduling, and milestone planning.

  • Serve as a technical focal point on assigned projects.

  • Mentor junior engineers and support process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of relevant electrical design experience.

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems (Boeing or similar platforms preferred).

  • Experience with OEM data systems (e.g., My Boeing Fleet).

  • Expertise in power distribution, cabin systems, lighting, and electrical certification processes.

  • Proficiency with CAD and engineering data systems.

  • Ability to develop complex electrical layouts and system designs.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

  • Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.

  • Aviation and aircraft interiors experience strongly preferred.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
