SALARY: $109,424 - $150,458/year

Summary:
Develop and integrate advanced avionics systems for VIP/VVIP and commercial aircraft.
Designing, verifying, and supporting avionics installations while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, customer specifications, budgets, and project schedules.
Design and integrate avionics systems, including cabin components, in-flight entertainment, communication systems, LED lighting, and AC/DC power.
Define system architecture and avionics requirements for VIP/VVIP aircraft.
Develop and manage the master avionics drawing list for STC-level projects.
Create and review wiring diagrams and preliminary wire routing using engineering tools.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering (preferred) with 8+ years of aerospace experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expertise in avionics, electrical system design, and power distribution.
Strong knowledge of Boeing aircraft, including VIP/commercial models.
Experience with aircraft interiors and VIP retrofits.
Proficiency in CAD and data management systems.
Strong knowledge of FAA certification and electrical design processes.
Ability to lead prototype engineering projects under strict schedules and budgets.
Proven ability to mentor, lead, and motivate teams.
Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical documentation tools.
Ability to travel and work flexible hours as required.
Desired Skills:
Experience with My Boeing Fleet and OEM data sets.
Leadership experience in cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and make high-level design decisions.
Approve completed drawing packages and ensure design compliance with FAA regulations.
Develop test and verification procedures to meet FAA design standards.
Support system installation and troubleshooting, working closely with modification facilities to resolve design issues and update drawings.
Interface with customers, vendors, and FAA designees throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in bid processes by estimating engineering and design requirements.
Contribute to project scheduling, ensuring timely milestone completion.
Prepare design checklists, templates, and processes to enhance efficiency.
Act as a project focal point and mentor junior engineers.
