Job Description

JOB TITLE: Senior Avionics Installer - 2nd Shift 
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Leads and supports a team of technicians in the installation, modification, and testing of avionics and electrical systems.

  • Fabricating wire harnesses, performing terminations, conducting ring-outs, and assisting in functional testing to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and regulatory standards.

  • Provide work direction to assigned technicians and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

  • Install, modify, and fabricate wiring, components, and fixtures according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.

  • Train team members in work assignments and contribute to skill development through innovative techniques.

  • Collaborate with Engineering to resolve technical issues and perform repairs per engineering direction.

  • Maintain required logs and records to ensure traceability and compliance.

  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory and customer requirements.

  • Enforce company programs including FOD control, tool accountability, 5S, and safety procedures.

  • Inspect completed work (including work by other team members) to ensure a defect-free installation prior to final inspection.

  • Maintain and properly care for assigned tools and shop equipment

  • Coordinate shift change activities in the absence of the team lead

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen)

  • Assist and backfill for the team coordinator as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years of related work experience, OR Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams

  • Working knowledge of Policies and Procedures Manual, Inspection Procedures Manual, and applicable Process Specifications

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new tasks with minimal impact on productivity

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic computer and keyboard proficiency

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
