Job Description

JOB TITLE: Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $36.04/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Lead operational and functional testing of avionics/electrical systems, ensuring defect-free performance.

  • Diagnose and resolve system discrepancies, using advanced troubleshooting techniques.

  • Train and mentor technicians in avionics installation, testing, and repair procedures.

  • Oversee system modifications, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and maintenance manuals.

  • Perform repairs, including splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring.

  • Operate test equipment, conduct system evaluations, and document all work performed.

  • Ensure adherence to FOD, tool control, 5S, and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate across departments to support aircraft delivery schedules.

  • Conduct pre-inspections to reduce rework and inspection time.

  • Self-inspect avionics testing functions.

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests if required.

  • Adapt to schedule changes and assist in multidisciplinary troubleshooting (e.g., hydraulics, flight controls, environmental systems).

  • APU and engine run qualification preferred.

Requirements:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Proficiency in avionics and electrical system diagnostics.

  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
