JOB TITLE: Sr. Aerospace Sheetmetal Technician
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $33.81 per hour

Summary:
Use schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions for sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation.
Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with FAA paperwork and quality specifications.
Mentor and review the work of other Sheetmetal Technicians.
Oversee projects, assess task requirements, and procure necessary materials and documentation.
Cut and form plastics using blueprints; follow SOPs for adhesives, sealants, and solvents.
Shape and form complex angles using appropriate tools.
Operate shop equipment, including brakes, presses, riveting equipment, and hand tools.
Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; protect aircraft as required.
Conduct monthly 5S audits.
Use material tracking systems for parts demand, tracking, and work sign-off.
Assist in developing initiatives to meet OGSM requirements.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Four (4) years of sheet metal and/or fabrication experience.
Aerospace industry experience preferred.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Advanced knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes (e.g., forming, drilling, riveting).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
Valid driver’s license for operating Gulfstream transportation equipment.
Proficient in English; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Adaptable to schedule changes.
Able to use sheet metal tools and equipment; lift up to 40 pounds.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to work in various physical conditions (e.g., climbing ladders, working in restricted areas).
