JOB TITLE:  Sr. Aerospace Sheetmetal Technician 

LOCATION: Dallas, TX

PAY RATE: $33.81 per hour

Summary: 

• Use schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions for sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation.

• Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with FAA paperwork and quality specifications.

• Mentor and review the work of other Sheetmetal Technicians.

• Oversee projects, assess task requirements, and procure necessary materials and documentation.

• Cut and form plastics using blueprints; follow SOPs for adhesives, sealants, and solvents.

• Shape and form complex angles using appropriate tools.

• Operate shop equipment, including brakes, presses, riveting equipment, and hand tools.

• Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; protect aircraft as required.

• Conduct monthly 5S audits.

• Use material tracking systems for parts demand, tracking, and work sign-off.

• Assist in developing initiatives to meet OGSM requirements.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Four (4) years of sheet metal and/or fabrication experience.

• Aerospace industry experience preferred.

• Valid Driver’s License required.

• Advanced knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes (e.g., forming, drilling, riveting).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

• Valid driver’s license for operating Gulfstream transportation equipment.

• Proficient in English; excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Adaptable to schedule changes.

• Able to use sheet metal tools and equipment; lift up to 40 pounds.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

• Ability to work in various physical conditions (e.g., climbing ladders, working in restricted areas).
