Job Description

JOB TITLE: SMT Machine Operator - 2nd Shift 
LOCATION: Clearwater, FL
PAY RATE: $21-25/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: Mon–Thurs, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM EST; OT available on weekends

  • Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Operate, maintain, and set up MyCronic or Universal Fuzion pick-and-place equipment, including minor troubleshooting

  • Perform SMT production tasks: component placement, soldering, and inspection

  • Ensure high-quality production by following established procedures and guidelines

  • Collaborate with the production team to meet targets and deadlines

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency

  • Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (associate’s degree or related certification preferred)

  • 2+ years’ experience as an SMT Operator with MyCronic or Universal Fuzion equipment

  • Strong knowledge of SMT production processes, including soldering and inspection

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent attention to detail and adherence to procedures

  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments with a focus on quality and safety

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
