JOB TITLE: SMT Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: 
Clearwater, FL
PAY RATE: Up to $25/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Set up, operate, and perform minor troubleshooting on MyCronic or Universal Fuzion SMT equipment

  • Perform component placement, soldering, inspection, and AOI

  • Operate additional SMT tools including X-ray, stencil printers, and reflow ovens

  • Conduct equipment setup and adjustments with minimal supervision

  • Ensure all work complies with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD standards

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S principles

  • Support production targets and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Read and interpret blueprints and follow written/verbal instructions

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred

  • 2+ years of SMT experience with MyCronic or Universal Fuzion machines

  • Proficient in SMT production processes, soldering, and visual/AOI inspection

  • Experience with machine shop practices and SMT equipment setup

  • Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD)

  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset

  • Ability to work independently and on rotating lines as needed

  • Basic computer skills and English reading/writing proficiency

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
