JOB TITLE: RS Senior Upholstery Technician
LOCATION: Brunswick, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

Summary: 

• Fabricate and install seat covers, curtains, and interior assemblies.

• Interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with design standards.

• Sew and install panel covers while meeting safety, quality, and productivity goals.

• Cut and install advanced, custom carpets using unique patterns and layouts.

• Use the Corridor system to manage parts demand, track issues, and sign off completed work.

• Step into Lead role when needed; delegate and oversee tasks.

• Conduct or support team safety audits.

• Maintain shop equipment and associated JSAs.

• Promote and follow safety procedures, 5S, and aircraft protection standards (PTP).

• Mentor and train junior technicians, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

• Collaborate with Leads and senior staff on process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methods.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 4 years of upholstery experience, including at least 2 years in aircraft upholstery, or

• 6 years of commercial upholstery experience

• Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes and/or advanced carpet installation, including custom designs

• Working knowledge of inspection procedures, specs, and terminology

• Proficient in reading blueprints and engineering documentation

• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

• Computer literate

• Able to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
