Job Description

JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Technician II
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $33.81/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.

  • Communicate effectively to understand and complete work assignments.

  • Coordinate with MTL, STM, and Inspection to meet FAA and company documentation standards.

  • Complete CMP cards, work orders, and other documentation accurately and on time.

  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.

  • Tag and store customer property and components properly.

  • Operate ground support equipment (e.g., power carts, hydraulic mules, lifts, tugs, forklifts) following SOPs.

  • Assist with aircraft movement in hangars and ramp areas.

  • Train and support junior technicians.

  • Protect customer property (PTP).

  • Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, etc.).

  • Apply 6S and Lean principles to maintain clean, efficient workspaces.

  • Use and maintain company tools; return all tools to designated areas.

  • Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment. Address unsafe conditions immediately.

  • Use the material tracking system to manage parts, labor, and squawks.

  • May support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate with 2 years of aviation maintenance experience, or 4 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 2 years on mid/large-size aircraft, required.

  • Valid Driver’s License required.

  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specs, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
