Job Description

JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Structural Mechanic IV
LOCATION: Mesa, AZ
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Contribute as a skilled specialist by developing employees and improving techniques

  • Perform assembly, fitting, drilling, and riveting of parts and structures to meet requirements

  • Interpret complex schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and instructions for fabrication and installation

  • Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure FAA and internal compliance

  • Transition efficiently between tasks to maintain schedules and goals

  • Use riveting tools and techniques; remove fasteners without damaging structures

  • Follow standard procedures for adhesives, sealants, and solvents

  • Ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection

  • Mentor and train team members on blueprint interpretation and problem-solving

  • Maintain logs and records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, and PCOs

  • Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners

  • Perform repairs and rework as required by DMT, MRR, PCO, ensuring conformity

  • Plan workloads and resources to meet or exceed schedules; assist with project oversight

  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace supporting 5S and Lean initiatives

  • Comply with all safety and housekeeping policies

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 6 years related structural assembly experience

  • 4 years sheetmetal and/or fabrication experience

  • Experience with Solumnia and Smarteam preferred

  • Q-stamp preferred

  • Valid Driver’s License required

  • Proficient with computers and related software

  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints

  • Experienced in close tolerance work and use of specialized tools

  • Able to solve dimensional problems using fractions, decimals, and whole numbers

  • Thorough knowledge of measuring devices and use within tolerance

  • Ability to work any shift

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Comfortable climbing ladders, stairs, and working in confined spaces

  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
