JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Structural Mechanic IV
LOCATION: Mesa, AZ
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Apply advanced skills and knowledge to complete tasks effectively and contribute to team development

  • Perform complex structural assembly and fitting operations, including drilling and riveting, ensuring assemblies meet requirements

  • Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions to safely fabricate and install parts and equipment on aircraft

  • Transition smoothly to new tasks with minimal impact on schedule or budget

  • Use riveting tools (e.g., pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers) to install and remove fasteners without structural damage

  • Follow work orders, blueprints, and standard operating procedures when working with adhesives, sealants, and solvents

  • Inspect own work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection

  • Mentor and assist team members with blueprint interpretation and troubleshooting production challenges

  • Maintain accurate documentation (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs)

  • Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps, and fixtures

  • Perform repairs and rework per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs to ensure compliance

  • Plan and organize workload to meet schedule and budget expectations; assist in coordinating projects and resource needs

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; support 5S, Lean, and safety initiatives

  • Participate in continuous improvement and safety programs

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 6 years of related structural assembly experience

  • Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred

  • Q-Stamp certification preferred

  • Proficient in computer use and related software

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

  • Skilled in close-tolerance work using specialized tools and equipment

  • Proficient in basic math, including fractions and decimals

  • Experienced with measuring devices and precision within specified tolerances

  • Willingness to work any shift

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Capable of climbing ladders and working in confined or elevated areas

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
