Job Description

JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Cabinet Maker II
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $26.93/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Fabricate furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints, aircraft specifications, and engineering drawings under general supervision.

  • Assemble, pin, and glue cabinet shells; install drawer slides, hinges, latches, and other hardware in subassemblies; apply exterior surface materials such as laminates, veneers, and cap strips.

  • Operate various stationary and handheld power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture.

  • Adhere to all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment to protect the aircraft interior.

  • Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work.

  • Work with leads and higher-skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements that increase safety, reduce cost, cycle time, and man-hours using Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement techniques.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of cabinetmaking experience.

  • Working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications preferred.

  • Aerospace industry experience preferred.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift as needed.

  • Must be computer literate.

  • Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking processes, products, and tools.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
