JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Cabinet Finisher II - 2nd Shift 
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $26.93/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Prepares aircraft furniture for finish and disassembly using blueprints, specifications, and engineering drawings.

  • Performs high-quality repairs to various finished surfaces in the shop and on aircraft; cleans and polishes as needed to prepare furniture for delivery.

  • Applies finishes using spray equipment and manual/mechanical methods.

  • Uses sandpaper, polishes, adhesives, masking materials, solvents, finishing materials, hand tools, and power tools to disassemble and finish furniture.

  • Complies with all safety protocols, 5S, and housekeeping policies.

  • Uses appropriate PPE to protect aircraft interiors.

  • Utilizes material tracking systems to create part demands, track discrepancies, and sign off work.

  • Collaborates with leads and senior technicians to identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, reduce costs, and optimize efficiency using Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement techniques.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in wood finishing

  • Aerospace industry experience preferred

  • Basic knowledge of cabinet finishing processes and products

  • Working knowledge of inspection and process specifications.

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.

  • Computer literacy required.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
