Job Description

JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Cabinet Finisher I
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $24.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Learn and perform basic technical skills related to aircraft cabinet finish processes under direct supervision

  • Gain familiarity with regulatory requirements, tools, and equipment used in the Cabinet Finish Shop

  • Develop proficiency in preparing and finishing furniture using sanding materials, polishes, adhesives, solvents, and masking products

  • Use the material tracking system to create parts requests, track discrepancies (squawks), and sign off completed work

  • Follow all safety procedures, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment (PPE); ensure protection of the aircraft interior (PTP)

  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvement and safety initiatives

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Experience in woodworking, wood finishing, or auto body and painting in a technical environment preferred

  • Completion of a technical certificate in cabinet making or participation in a current-year youth apprenticeship program in a related field preferred

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Must be computer literate

  • Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined or restricted areas, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
