Job Description

JOB TITLE: RF Test Technician - DEFENSE
LOCATION: 
Chelmsford, MA
PAY RATE: $28/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Security Clearance: Interim Secret clearance required to start. Supplier will initiate clearance process at offer stage.

  • Shift: Day Shift, Full-Time (Fri-Sun, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

  • Hours: Friday through Sunday, with potential overtime

  • Training: Contractor will start and train on first shift before moving to third shift

  • First Shift Training Hours: M–TH, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Summary: 

  • Perform electrical and RF testing on systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit boards using manual and automated test equipment

  • Follow Process/Work Instructions and test plans to ensure products meet quality standards

  • Use measuring instruments and electronic test equipment to verify functionality

  • Document test results accurately, maintain test databases, and generate reports

  • Assist in improving test procedures and performing basic troubleshooting/retesting of electronic assemblies

  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to enhance throughput and support continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Security Clearance: Interim Secret clearance required to start. Supplier will initiate clearance process at offer stage.

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Basic computer skills, including navigating digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Knowledge of ESD procedures and test equipment

  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, reliability, and eagerness to grow

  • Experience with electrical or micro-electronics preferred

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
