JOB TITLE: RF Test Technician - 1st Shift 
LOCATION: Clearwater, FL
PAY RATE: $26-30/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 4/10 – 1st Shift (Thursday–Sunday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM; overtime available on weekends)

Summary: 

  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on electronic circuit card assemblies (CCAs), RF circuits, and subassemblies following defined methods, procedures, standards, and sequences

  • Assemble and layout production electronic equipment based on designs and specifications

  • Adjust and calibrate electronic systems as needed to meet performance standards

  • Diagnose and correct malfunctions by adjusting or replacing components as directed

  • Utilize hand and small power tools, as well as various measuring and testing devices, to perform job duties

  • Determine appropriate tests, analyze results, and recommend modifications or improvements to testing equipment and manufacturing processes

  • Assist engineers in developing test procedures for new products and suggest product or process improvements

  • Monitor and verify product quality in accordance with statistical process controls or other quality procedures

  • Troubleshoot to the component level using schematic diagrams to isolate failures in analog, digital, and RF circuitry

  • Work in a dynamic production environment, maintaining high productivity to support customer schedules

  • Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, network analyzers, frequency standards, signal generators, and RF power meters

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Electronics or related technical training preferred

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on technical experience testing electronic assemblies

  • Extensive RF testing experience

  • Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state, digital, and RF circuits

  • Experience setting up and operating electronic test equipment

  • Familiarity with flying probe and/or high-power testing

  • Strong analytical and documentation skills

  • Experience working in structured production or lab environments

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and data collection programs to document results

  • Hands-on practical troubleshooting experience emphasized over theoretical knowledge

  • Familiarity with radar systems (testing, troubleshooting, or maintenance)

  • Ability to demonstrate hands-on technical skills during interview

  • Strong understanding of analog, digital, and RF circuit theory

  • Knowledge of production test methods, calibration techniques, and performance verification standards

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
